Whoa. I've heard of raining rocks on a diamond planet, but not raining diamonds!

This is crazy! It amazes me someone can even think of creating a livable island out of recycled plastic. One question I have is about the weather. How would these islands handle the wind and waves from bad storms. If it ever happens, I would love to see it in person.
