Eli Moore Mrs. Cook ELA writing 3 May 11 2022 Bird People go to School The book Maximum Ride: Schools Out Forever is written by James Patterson and the genre is science fiction. The setting of the book is Virginia and New York City, it’s set in 2010. The characters are Max, Fang, Nudge, Iggy, Gazzy, and Angel. The story follows Max and her flock starting to live with this FBI Agent named Anne. Eventually Anne signs the flock up for school. When at the school Max finds out that their principal is an Eraser (wolf Mutant). Max and the flock escape the school and they find out that Anne worked for the school so Max and the flock head to New York City trying to find a lab that has information about Nudges parents. While at New York Max gets kidnapped. She escapes and regroups with Fang, Iggy, Nudge, Gazzy, and Angel. All together they come up with a plan to head west. Topics that are addressed are school, romance, parents, scientists, and mutants. I liked the book but it wasn’t the best because Max and Fang don’t talk much during the book. Is not the best book out of the series by far. I rate it a 3.5 and I recommend this book to people who like bird people.
