This is NOT a "knock off" of wonder it's actually an amazing TRUE story. So don't "knock" it down before you've tried it.Over 5 years agolotte_parker667 added a new comment in
I have read other NatGeoKids books before and all of them exceeded what I had originally wanted. The Weird but True series was especially my favorite. My sister and I really love the collection of books from NatGeo and sometimes read the magazines. The Cover looks very cool, and I have so many questions for this book, such as: Who is the pig on the cover - and why is it in a wheelchair, and what are the polar bear and the hippopotamus doing on the cover? My biggest question is the title: What and How did these animals change the world??? I know that NatGeo won't disappoint with this book.Over 5 years agolotte_parker667 replied to a comment in
(1) I do have a backstory! "Lotte" (LOW-tay) is the first name of my favorite character from an anime called 'Little Witch Academia'. "Parker" is the last name of Peter Parker from the MCU (played by Tom Holland) and "667" is from A series of unfortunate events - "667 Dark Avenue" is where Esme Squalor lives. (2) I'm in 7th grade (3) I have one younger sister (4) I just joined this summer! (5) Definitely James Patterson, his books are the best! What's yours? ~ Lotte ParkerOver 5 years agolotte_parker667 added a book review.
Oh. My. Goodness. This book was so cool! I had wanted to read it for a while now - but now that I read it I understood why people liked it so much. The back-and-forth chapters that went between the Congress hearings and what was actually happening were very secretive, but it all came together in the end. The ideas and thoughts mentioned in this book really made me think about what would happen if this was real, and the thoughts we must have and risks we must take to make out world a better place. I totally recommend this book. Have fun reading! ~Lotte ParkerOver 5 years agolotte_parker667 added a book review.
This book probably deserves way more than 5 stars because it was so good! If you read the Invention of Hugo Cabret or saw the movie - you would absolutely love this book. It follows the lives of three kids: Hannah, Giuseppe, and Frederick, who eventually meet each other and go on an amazing adventure. The backgrounds of these characters really interested me, and all of their motives and ideals really pushed the plot forward. The lessons that all of these characters learned by the end were really valuable, and the plot was sooo good! I totally recommend this book to everyone! Hope you love this book as much as I did! ▼・ᴥ・▼ Lotte ParkerOver 5 years agolotte_parker667 added a book review.
I really liked this book! It was very devious - just as it led you to believe one thing - it twisted it and said something else. The two main characters were very likeable and funny, and the way how their backyard antics led to something much bigger than themselves really made me laugh and sit on the edge of my seat for more. The code mentioned in the book was very helpful to move the book forward and the main thing that I learned is that nothing is how it seems. Happy reading! ~ Lotte ParkerOver 5 years agolotte_parker667's book review was featured in Winterhouse.
If I could give this book 6 stars, I totally would! This book was so fun and mysterious! The code that I learned from this book is very cool, and I'm actually going to tell all of my friends about it too! The main characters, Elizabeth and Freddy were codemasters and made word ladders and anagrams, which were really fun to read about. Ben Guterson really mastered the art of pulling a reader into a book and making it seem that they were really at Winterhouse with the characters. The ending was really surprising, and I really want to know what happens in the next book. I'm sure that I'll love that one too! Have fun reading this awesome book! It was Bear-y good! ʕ •ᴥ•ʔ ~ Lotte ParkerOver 5 years agolotte_parker667 added a book review.

So I also have some questions of my own for you guys: 1) Do you have a backstory for your dogo username? If so, I would love to hear your story. 2) What grade are you in? 3) Do you have any siblings? 4) How long have you been on DOGO? 5) Who's your fav author? P.S. My new avatar is as close as I can get to what I look like in real life.Over 5 years ago
