I think that this is a really good book, it analyzes both parts of the argument. For example, in the book, it talks about Affirmative Action in the U.S, and it analyzes the arguments of people who are for and the arguments for people that are against it. So, you can decide which argument was better, and form your own opinion. Each part is like a little opinion editorial, it uses lots of statistics and analyzes them. It tells you a lot about each subject too, and I think that if you have time and like to read about these issues, it's a worthwhile book. Also, some of the words in this book is quite hard, I think that you have to be quite an avid reader to understand the book. I had to stop and make sure I understood and try to figure out a lot of the sentences in the book. It also talks about more than African-American racism, so I also learned about lots of different programs to help solve racism, and racism at other minorities.

"Pride and Prejudice" is probably the most successful book written by Jane Austen. Her writing style inspires so many people and generations after generation. I was first introduced to this book about a year ago, but I thought that English Lit would be boring. But one day, I pick up the book and start reading, until I realize how good of a story this is, I have already finished the whole and didn't want the book to end there. My favorite character in this book is Mr. Darcy. He is so mysterious and dark for some reason. He secretly helps Lizzy do so many things. The chemistry between them builds up little by little, from their relationship being hate, then transforming to love. Throughout the book, my favorite part is the first ball. So many things were happening, Jane was with Mr. Bingley, and Darcy shutting Lizzy off. The scene was so well described that I could almost see how the ballroom looks like and how each scene rolls so smooth like I'm watching a movie. Anyways, I would definitely recommend people to read this book, this classic novel really strikes to a man's heart.

This was a really good book. This is a book where they combined the whole series into one book. Although it's a little long, it's really good. I think that this is one of the more special and interesting books I have read. The author has a really good idea where he incorporates so many characters and also he uses the stories of King Arthur in the book. This book is about good against evil, which seems very stereotypical, however, it's a really different concept of good and evil. My favorite part of the book is when Will is trying to get all the signs after Merriman told him what to do. I really recommend this book.

This is a really different kind of book. It is part of a trilogy. This is the first book in it. It explores a new dimension, another way history could have played out. This is set in the time of the first world war however, this time, the countries don't use guns and bayonets. Some have mutated animals that they use or others make huge and complicated machines to fight. I really liked the book, I think that it's really cool because it uses the real history and twists it so there is the timeline but everything is different and changed.

alicew's book review was featured in Tess of the D'Urbervilles (Classics).
Tess of the D'Ubervilles is by the famous writer, Thomas Hardy. This has got to be one of the most depressing books I've ever read, Although the plot was not bad because of all those jaw-dropping events, there isn't really anything in particular that catches my eye. I don't really have a favorite character in this book because I feel like no character in this book is worth trusting. SO many things happened in the book that made me feel the truth of life and how people could change into someone that you don't know anymore. Although I like the author's way of writing. The work choices that he uses are so just heart wrenching sometimes and it just reflects on how the truth of the world is like. At last, I recommend this book to people who are older, I feel like this book is too realistic and it's sometimes harder for teenagers to understand.

The story continues after Leviathan. Now, Alek is aboard the British ship after he and his men helped to fix it. They go to the Ottoman empire, where Alek decides to escape and then, he plots a rebellion against the Sultan, because he wants to strike a blow against the Germans. The main characters ran into lots of adventures. Deryn, was sent on a mission to destroy a weapon that the Ottomans created, and the rest of her team was captured and killed but she survived. I liked the book, my favorite part is at the start, when Alek uses spices to attack the German spy, and it works.

I think that this is a good book but it is not as good as the two books before. I really prefered the ones before. I think that author shouldn't have kept the series going. In this book, the British Airship Alek and Deryn are on, go over Russia and they notice a really weird spot, where they then find Nicholas Tesla and save him. There is a secret weapon that Tesla made which can stop the war but the Germans attack, when they are in America, causing the Americans to join the war with the British. My favorite part in this book is the ending, when Deryn and Alek realize they both love each other.

This is the book after Eon. Eona is found out to be a girl, and she has to run away from Sethon, who is trying to usurp the throne. They then try and help Kygo, the real emperor to take the throne back. She also finds out that the other dragoneyes were killed and she has to bear the anguish of the dragons. The main characters were Eona and Kygo. The main problem that Eona had is that she has to bear all the ten dragon's anguish instead of only one which is what she is trained for. I recommend this book to people who like adventure and also people who like books set in Imperial China.
