Wreck-It Ralph

Wreck-It Ralph (2012)

Wreck-It Ralph is the 9-foot-tall, 643-pound villain of an arcade video game named Fix-It Felix Jr., in which the game's titular hero fixes buildings that Ralph destroys. Wanting to prove he can be a good guy and not just a villain, Ralph escapes his game and lands in Hero's Duty, a first-person shooter where he helps the game's hero battle against alien invaders. He later enters Sugar Rush, a kart racing game set on tracks made of candies, cookies and other sweets. There, Ralph meets Vanellope von Schweetz who has learned that her game is faced with a dire threat that could affect the entire arcade, and one that Ralph may have inadvertently started.

So in this movie, a guy named Wreck-it Ralph is the bad guy in his game, Fix-it Felix. It isn't that he wants to be the bad guy though. He was made that way. He wants to prove that he was good too, and decided to go and get a medal, and as he makes friends with a girl, Vanellope, he realizes that he doesn't have to prove he is good, since he already is.

Awww . . . this is so cute. A classic villain-turned-hero story set in an arcade. Worried I'll spoil it if I say more, but I loved it.

I thought it was really clever how the setting was just inside of an arcade game. Ralph had to be the bad guy that crushed things, and the person playing it had to be the good guy who was fix-it Felix. Felix had to put the things back together. One day, Ralph announced that he didn't want to be the bad guy. Everyone argued and they told him there wouldn't be a game at all without Ralph. Ralph agreed to go back to the bad guy and the game kept on going. This time if they make a book of it, the movie will be better
