"The Water Man" is a sensitive coming of age story about loss, friendship and the need to believe in magic, and Oyelowo proves himself to be a gifted storyteller with a big imagination. There's such a winning earnestness to it that I think [director David Oyelowo] comes by honestly. It's easy to like and appreciate The Water Man even if those feelings never truly flow to love. Lots of family films focus on silly, easy laughs, but this one is like a thoughtful middle-grade novel come to life. "The Water Man" is an engaging, creative family drama with flashes of fantasy. I recommend it to those that have watched and enjoyed "A Wrinkle in Time", as it slightly relates to this movie.

I watched this movie and it was great, it’s talking about a boy named Gunner, and the went to find the water man because he thought it was true that the water man was real and can cure people, he went to find the water man with a girl that says she meet him (the water man) before, and show him the scar, but after she revealed her secret, that she didn’t meet the water man, and the scar was not the scar that the water man gave her, Gunner wanted to find the water man because his mother was very ill, and thought that if he find the water man the water man can cure his mom.
