- kittyalmost 11 yearsout of all the movies in this series, this movie is the best (for now, still waiting till part 2 comes out). It was very intense and the hanging tree song is hauntingly beautiful, especialy without the music. I was really surprised when I found this song on the radio the other day, which reminded me to write a review. This is definetly something for ages 13 and older, and I recommend ths to any hunger games fan! May the odds be ever in your favor...

Personally I believed that this movie was awesome! Now because of this movie I am addicted to the song Hanging Tree. This movie went along for the most part with the books. The special affects were great. The director brought all of the sadness from the books but did not try to make it seem like everything was fine and everyone was going to live and it would all be sunshine and daises in some scenes which was great, and I admire them for doing that. I also liked how it involved characters like Gale more in the movie than before because before in the other movies Gale was only in the movie for like 5 minutes or so which was not good so they brought him in for longer which was awesome. I also like that Katniss did not wear as much makeup which made it seem like all of this stuff was really happening and not fantasize everything that was going on in the movie.
