its based on how people used to treat african americans. it sends a good message to kids and adults that we should never judge people because of thier race , its not just africans its also how we tease chinese and japanesse and many other races.there are some humor in this movie therefore this movie is very very extraordinary(;Soooo sad, makes you reliese how racist the world used to be, and still is. I want to read the book too!I love this movie! I'm currently reading the book, (It has a bit more language) but it almost follows the plot the whole way!!!!!!!!! I highly recommend seeing the movie or reading the book because its truly inspiring and you would understand how people were treated years ago.I loved it. Its more for older kids. But a very good movie to watch with your mom. I cried. and its rare for me to cry in movies about humans.

Watch this movie! People used to treat African American people very cruelly! It sends a message too people old, middle-aged or young. It's so sad at the end. This movie also matters to the Chinese,Japanese,Burmese or any other race! It's not just those African American people. This movie is absolutely incredible:D
