This movie completely twists the story line, and all the details that make the book unique. I think ajg15 says it best in the review below.
Ok first I would like to say, I didn't really like this movie because they left a lot of stuff out from the books and changed certain details. Now with that said here's the review! WARNING--- SPOILERS FOR THE MOVIE AHEAD--- YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED ☺❤ The movie starts with the Greek gods Zeus and Poseidon meeting on top of the Empire State Building in New York. Zeus accuses Poseidon's son Percy Jackson of stealing his lightning bolt and says that war will break out among the gods if it is not returned within two weeks. 16-year-old Percy Jackson, unaware of his true identity, attends a school visit to the museum where he is attacked by a fury trying to steal the lightning bolt. His teacher and his friend help him escape, and Percy ends up in a camp for demigods, where he learns his true identity While there, Hades appears in front of Percy saying he has kidnapped his mother and will exchange her for the lightning bolt. Some time later, he and his demigod friends go into the Underworld to retrieve his mother. They meet Hades and his wife Persephone, and Percy says he does not have the lightning bolt. Hades finds it hidden in the shield of Luke, the demigod son of Hermes, proving that Luke was in fact the thief. Persephone steps in and knocks Hades out because she is angry for being imprisoned in the Underworld and gives the bolt to Percy. The group returns to the surface, where they are attacked by Luke, who wants to destroy Olympus in order for the demigods to have a chance at ruling. After a duel, Percy defeats his rival, and hands the lightning bolt back to Zeus. **The sequel of this movie is Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters.** Hope you enjoyed the review, sorry if I spoiled to much. This is a AMAZING movie I've never read the books but I love the movie.there's a lot of jump scares and funny parts my favorite part is when they get in the car wreck then grover starts taking off his pants (so he can be a goat thing don't remember the name) then percy says "WHY ARE YOU TAKING OFF YOUR PANTS MAN WHATS HAPPENING!?!?!?!?!?!?" hahha best part I love this movie this is in my top 15 definitely! I will rate this 5/5🌟!!!!great movie I will recommend this for a good family night movie for all ages!💩😺💩😺💩😁😁😀😁- percy jackson the son of passidon the young teen is just trying to have a normal life yet he may not live in peace he needs to fight enough monsters to and get portal pearls to be able to get in the underworld and back what would are hero do but here is what so he fights a evil teacher ms dods then his friend grover brings him to his mom the mom knowing his god dad she races him to a secret camp to save god kids he learns to fight gets new friends so with his friend annabeth and grover he kills medusa then go and fights the hydra gets the pearl go to an evil cafe that traps you there escapes and savesgets the lightning bolt saves his mother and stops the war of the gods by giving Zeus his lightng bolt. the end
