halfblood12about 1 yearI watched Percy Jackson and the sea of monsters because I have read all the books and wanted to see how the movie compared to it. And I was very disappointed. They did not do a good job with the plot and they definitely didn't follow Percy Jackson's story line. I do not recommend it to anyone.
This movie was horrible. First of all, the characters in the books were like 13-14 I think, but in the movie the actors looked like they were 16-17. Second, it didn't follow the books plot, whatsoever. The acting was horrible, and they made up so many things in it that made me hate it not even halfway through it. I would definitely NOT recomend you watch this.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS MOVIE. If you like Percy Jackson, these movies will DISAPPOINT you. We need to spread the word about calling these movies the "Peter Johnson Movies".
Not the best movie, I must say. It could have been a lot better and really, there was no need for a second movie in the Percy Jackson movie. This is just my opinion of course, you may love the move, so go try it.
Here is the thing: This movie is barely similar to the book. If you want to watch it, PLEASE read the book first. If I were to rate it separately from the book, its great.
I have watched this exact movie at age four or five. It was in preschool. I used to not be interested, but now i'm a fan so super-fan-like it's disgustingly hilarious!
It has twists and turns, and has many funny parts. I recommend this movie, and I also recommend the prequel. Both are great movies!
