If you are a fan of the Wizard of Oz, you will love this movie. It tells the story of Oscar Diggs, a con artist and “magician” from Kansas who gets whisked away to the magical world of Oz. There, he pretends to be the wizard that everyone has been waiting for. But he soon finds out that things are not as simple as they seem. He is deceived by Evanora, a wicked witch who will become the Wicked Witch of the West, into believing that Glinda is evil and must be destroyed. Oscar sets out on a quest to defeat Glinda and free the people of Oz, but along the way he discovers the truth about the sisters and their schemes. He also makes some unlikely friends: Finley, a loyal flying monkey, and China Girl, a brave porcelain doll. This movie is a journey of self-discovery for Oscar Diggs, who learns to overcome his flaws and become a better person with the help of his new friends. He also helps save the Land of Oz from the dark forces that threaten it. This movie has many surprises and twists that will keep you hooked. It also gives you a deeper insight into the origins of the Wicked Witches and their motives. Evanora is a cruel and manipulative older sister who corrupts her younger sister, Theodora, into becoming her partner in evil. Theodora undergoes a dramatic transformation that reflects her inner ugliness. But the movie also has its moments of humor and warmth. You will adore Finley’s kindness and Oscar’s witty remarks. This movie is amazing!! It will keep you on the edge of your seat and make you appreciate “The Wizard of Oz” even more. It also pays homage to the classic movie by having some scenes in black and white, which creates a nice contrast. I would recommend this movie for 12+ because it has some scary and violent scenes that might not be suitable for younger audiences. But other than that, it is a wonderful film that you should definitely watch. Happy watching!

Warning! This review may contain spoilers! I haven't watched it in a while, but I'll tell you what I remember. So there's this guy and he somehow ends up in a magical land... or something. What I thought of it: Honestly, I don't know why so many people liked this. The main guy (don't remember his name) was kind of irritating. I mean I liked him, but I honestly don't know why. I mean over the course of the movie, he kissed like 2 or 3 different women. Seriously?! Who does that in a kids movie?! I mean the last one was kind of random. Why was it necessary for him to kiss Glinda? She didn't even really do anything. There were no real signs of them liking each other anyway. There was no good reason for them to fall in love. And the "good" witch who eventually turned bad. Why did they never resolve the real problem? I mean her sister lied to her and no one ever told her. She just went on believing her sister's lie and no one even cared enough to tell her it wasn't true. That was the stupidest thing ever. If someone had just told her that her sister had lied, that would have solved everyone's problems. Overall, it wasn't a good movie.
