Nancy Drew is an excellent role model for young girls: smart, stylish in an old fashioned way, and does not give in to peer pressure. I found nothing objectionable in this movie ; even the chase scene and bag guys threatening Nancy is played is a cartoon-ish way, with Nancy having the upper hand the whole time. The sets and costumes are a gorgeous blend of vintage and new. It's funny to see Nancy be a likable, adventurous and able to solve everything; that combination is not one we often see in goody-two-shoes characters, and it makes the character more special. The romance is sweet and mild, although the actor playing Ned is very stiff. However, some families may be bothered by the fact that the main mystery is all about a deceased movie star being an unwed mother who put her child up for adoption... and her daughter became a single mom as well. At the end, the adult daughter establishes a home for single mothers which is portrayed and generous and helpful. In addition, Nancy's father is portrayed as unreasonable and insensitive to Nancy's talents and love for being a detective. This movie was very cool. It was action packed and really funny. It is one of the best mystery movies ever!

I watched this with my sister, and we loved it. It is funny, interesting, and the best mystery movie I have ever watched. Nancy Drew and her father stay at this really creepy mansion where there is a ghost. Nancy has a hard time at school, and she misses her friends and her boyfriend Ned (I think that was his name, I watched it a long time) until she meets Corgi, a super funny kid, but his sister and her friend hate Nancy because she is, well, popular. So, Nancy, Corgi, his sister, her friend, and Ned (Believe it or not) help solve the case. I suggest it for people who like Nancy Drew books, humorous movies, and mysteries. I am super sorry my summary is super bad; I haven't watched this movie for a while. You are just going to have to watch it for yourself. Happy watching!

This is without a doubt, my favorite movie of all time. Nancy is staying with her dad in California as he solves a case there. They are staying in the house of Delia Draycott. **Backstory** Delia Draycott was a famous movie star up until she disappeared for five months straight. When she came back, she organized a huge feast, but never came to the party. She was found the next day, floating in her private pool, dead. Nancy is trying to be a regular teenager, but she is shunned at school for her smarts and her old fashioned clothes. The house has a caretaker named Leshing, who is anything but helpful. On top of all this, Nancy is receiving mysterious calls, that are telling her to stop. Along with Corkey and Ned, she must figure out what is going on, and who the real murderer of Delia Draycott was.

"Another case!"-Nancy Drew. Nancy Drew is a jam packed action film that has me on the edge of my seat every time. Nancy, an ameatur sleuth, goes to Los Angles with her father where they are staying in a spooky old mansion which once belonged to a famous movie star Delia Draycott, before her untimely death. Nancy begins to investigate the actresses death but as she gets closer to the truth, the case becomes more and more dangerous. Someone doesn't want Nancy to solve this mystery and they'll do anything to stop her. I watched this movie with my friends and we all had our mouths open by the time the end credits began to roll. If there's one thing for sure, Nancy Drew is one girl who isn't afraid of a mouse. I rate this movie a 9 out of 10 and recommend it for an audience of 8+
