Maleficent (2014)
A beautiful, pure-hearted young woman, Maleficent has an idyllic life growing up in a peaceable forest kingdom, until one day when an invading army threatens the harmony of the land. She rises to be the land's fiercest protector, but she ultimately suffers a ruthless betrayal – an act that begins to turn her heart into stone. Bent on revenge, Maleficent faces an epic battle with the invading King's successor and, as a result, places a curse upon his newborn infant Aurora. As the child grows, Maleficent realizes that Aurora holds the key to peace in the kingdom – and to Maleficent's true happiness as well.

I LOVE THIS MOVIE!! It was amazing! The animation was stunning, and the storyline was phenomenal! I feel SO bad for Maleficent. She certainly didn't deserve any of that! She's just a little misunderstood, that's all. Angelina Jolie was a perfect cast for the awesome role. You should totally see it, but be prepared to cry! I liked the added humor, but some scenes might frighten young children (as if they weren't already intimidated by the villain!) It should have been rated PG-13. I love Lana Del Ray's song, Once Upon a Dream which is played at the end credits. If you've heard the song and adore it, it'll make so much more sense after you see the movie. There's an upbeat version to it, but I prefer the hauntingly beautiful one instead.

otterabout 11 yearsThis movie was actually really good. It was a good "reimagining" of Sleeping Beauty, and I was glad the happy ever after did not involve a marriage. You should watch it!
alicornabout 11 yearsI can't wait to see this movie! I've been a fan of Sleeping Beauty since I was little... I mean really little. My dad thinks Angelina Jolie is scary! LOL!!! Sometimes the classic is better than the follow-up movie, so I hope it will be good!!! CAN'T WAIT!
