Orphaned and alone except for an uncle, Hugo Cabret lives in the walls of a train station in 1930s Paris. Hugo's job is to oil and maintain the station's clocks, but to him, his more important task is to protect a broken automaton and notebook left to him by his late father. Accompanied by the goddaughter of an embittered toy merchant, Hugo embarks on a quest to solve the mystery of the automaton and find a place he can call home.

            It's absoulutly magical and such a beatiful movie. Hugo may be small but his brain is bigger than earth. It's terrifying and magical.

                I watched the movie then read the book. both were amazing! hugo is the best movie ever!!! I reccommend this movie to anyone who loves mystery, action, and heart breaking features! best movie in every way!

                  I read the book and the movie is totally like it. The characters are just like I imagined they would be like in the book. (Don't worry, I just don't give five stars very easily.)

                      I have watched the movie but not read the book. The movie has so many hidden secrets and I just love that. Looking for them is really fun. GREAT MOVIE!!
